After decades of work in IT, infrastructure and internet services, I decided to build and operate an Israeli search engine. WebSearch.co.il is intended to provide useful search access to Israeli content, academic material, scientific resources, documentation, public information and independent websites from the open web.

The search service is anonymous and advertising-free. It is not designed to profile users, sell attention, or turn search queries into advertising products. The project focuses on search quality, domain diversity, Hebrew and regional content, and access to public knowledge.

Operating a search engine requires servers, bandwidth, crawling, indexing, storage, monitoring and ongoing development. If you would like to support WebSearch.co.il, please contact us about making a donation to the project or helping with infrastructure, development or public-interest cooperation.

WebSearch.co.il is designed as an anonymous search engine. We do not intentionally store personal search profiles, and we do not build user advertising profiles. Because the service is designed not to store personal search data, requests for personal user search histories cannot be fulfilled where no such data exists.

The index includes Israeli domains and millions of additional public domains from the wider internet. The data and search infrastructure are provided by INETDEX.
